Saucony 15K Santiago
On Sunday 12th November I took part in a race organized by Saucony in the Ciudad Empresarial in Santiago. You could sign up for a 10k and a 15k for a cost of 15$ and 20$ respectively and you’d get a nice t-shirt and a medal. The run was in a very nice area, mostly business oriented, and it even though one of the 2 designed drinking station wasn’t working it was overall very well organized.
I run the 15k track and I ended with a time 0f 1:06:54 which meant position 37 overall, 14th in my category. If only i knew it I would have pushed a bit more and made it in the Top10, as I didn’t really race rather just run for the pleasure of it. Fun fact: as Andrea in spanish-speaking country it’s female name they thought I was a girl and that I had finished 2 overall! 🙂
Domenica 12 Novembre ho partecipato ad una gara organizzata da Saucony nella Ciudad Empresarial di Santiago. Ci si poteva registrare per una corsa di 10km ed una di 15km ad un prezzo di 15$ e 20$ rispettivamente ed il pacco gara prevedeva una bella maglietta ed una medaglia. La corsa si è snodata in un’area principalmente orientato al commercio molto bella e pulita ed anche se uno dei due ristori non era funzionante per problemi tecnici la gara è stata organizzata molto bene.
Io ho corso sul tracciato da 15km ed ho finito con un tempo di 1:06:54 che mi ha permesso di finire in 37sima posizione assoluta, 14esimo della mia categoria. A saperlo prima avrei spinto un po di più e sarei finito nella Top10 visto che ho corso senza pensare di fare un buon tempo, ma solo divertendomi. Aneddoto divertente: siccome in paesi di lingua spagnola Andrea è un nome femminile mi hanno chiamato a parte perchè nonostante fossi registrato come maschio, pensavano fossi una ragazza e che avessi terminato come 2nda assoluta! 🙂
